We can service all Wireless Yale Burglar Alarms. Considering Yale hasn’t made a wired burglar alarm for almost 20 years, this covers most alarms currently in operation. Please note some models are discontinued and certain parts cannot be replaced due lack of stock availability.
Yale alarms may give warning beeps for a number of reasons – most common ones being, low battery issues, tamper faults, signal issues, communication errors or faulty devices. Most issues could be fixed by a service by our qualified engineers.
Regular service and replacing low batteries will fix most issues in Yale Alarms. You may also have problems with faulty sensors, tamper problems or other communication problems. Our Yale engineers can identify and rectify most problems in a single service visit.
If your alarm was triggered, then the Yale alarm panel can show “Alarm Alarm Alarm”. You will have to check what caused the alarm, acknowledge the alarm on the panel to clear the message. If the alarm was triggered by a faulty sensor, we can arrange an engineer callout to investigate and rectify any issues.
Of course! Our engineers keep most Yale alarm parts stocked in their vans, so if anything on your system is faulty, damaged, or needs replacing, we can usually sort it out during the same visit. All pricing is exactly as shown on our website, so there are no surprises.
Absolutely! Our engineers usually have a wide range of Yale accessories in stock and can add them to your existing alarm system during a service visit. All prices are exactly as listed on our website.
If you have specific requirements or questions about expanding your Yale system, just give us a call — our in-house experts will be happy to help. The only exception is with some older, discontinued models where parts can be a little harder to source.
An annual professional service is recommended to ensure reliability and to comply with many home insurance policies.
Yes, we can definitely service, repair or maintain all Yale alarms, regardless of the original installer. We can even help if you partially installed it and needs help completing the setup. Head over to our Installation Service pages for more details.
We’d be happy to take over your Yale Alarm System and get everything set up properly for you. That includes checking the full configuration, programming, updating codes, removing old owner access, enabling all communication features, and adding any new modules or accessories you might need.
If it’s a smart alarm, we’ll also install the app on your phones and show you how to use it with confidence. For peace of mind going forward, we can also provide all-inclusive service plans to keep your system well looked after.
Absolutely! To service a Yale alarm, we’ll need both the master user code and the engineer’s code, if applicable (some models have engineer’s code). If you don’t have them, no problem — we can reset and reprogram the system for you (a small fee applies). Once that’s done, we’ll make sure the system is fully accessible, clear any faults or errors, and get everything running smoothly again.
Of course! Once we carry out the initial service visit — which includes a full system check and ensuring everything meets compliance requirements — we can then offer you a service plan tailored to your insurance needs.
Just to mention, Yale alarms aren’t built to British Standards and therefore aren’t graded. They’re classed as DIY systems, which means they can’t be installed or maintained with an NSI or SSAIB certificate. That said, some insurance providers do still accept ungraded systems, as long as they’re serviced annually. If your insurer confirms this, we’ll be happy to maintain it for you on a yearly basis.
It sounds like you may have one of the Yale standard alarms designed for buildings without a power supply. These systems don’t include a control panel, so they don’t keep a log of errors or faults, which is why they’re sometimes tricky to troubleshoot. They also come pre-programmed, which makes it difficult to clear faults, replace parts, or add new devices.
If you do have one of these systems and would like assistance, please get in touch — we can talk you through a couple of options to get it working smoothly again.
Absolutely! We can replace all internal and external batteries in your system. You’ll only be charged for the batteries we replace, and all prices are clearly listed on our product page.
We suggest changing your Yale alarm batteries if they haven’t been replaced in the past year. Some may last longer, but batteries in busy rooms usually run down faster. Since the main cost is the engineer’s visit, it’s often best to have them swapped while we’re already there.
We certainly can. We will only replace batteries you ask us to and charge only for the ones we replace.
We’re proud to be SSAIB approved, which means we can install and maintain alarm systems that fully meet insurance requirements.
Yale alarms, however, aren’t graded, so they can’t be issued with a certificate of compliance. Depending on your insurer’s specific requirements, you may need a professional-grade system to replace your Yale alarm. Give us a call — our experts will be happy to review your insurance needs with you and, where possible, find a way to keep your Yale system working for you.
