When Aurobindo Pharma started establishing their European headquarters at Stockley Park near Heathrow Airport, the company wanted to build resilient security infrastructure that could support both its immediate operational needs and future growth.

The site itself presented a substantial and technically complex environment: a premium 33,000 sq. ft. two-storey office building featuring open atrium spaces, automatic revolving entrances, lifts, multiple fire exits, hotel-style reception areas, and a combination of public-facing and restricted operational zones.

From the outset, the project required a security partner capable of managing a large-scale commercial installation through a consultative, coordinated approach.

Planning Security Around a Growing Business

The initial consultation began in September 2025, shortly after the building acquisition and during the early stages of refurbishment planning.

Rather than focusing solely on equipment specification, the early stages of the project centred around understanding how the building would function day to day — including staff movement, departmental zoning, visitor access, sensitive operational areas, and future scalability.

FHA Security worked closely with Aurobindo Pharma’s senior management team, building management representatives, principal fit-out contractors, and third-party project stakeholders to understand the entire scope of operations. This collaborative planning phase allowed the team to assess not only the client’s stated requirements, but also identify operational risks, workflow challenges, and future technology opportunities that had not initially been considered.

A Fully Integrated Commercial Security Solution

Following extensive consultation and risk assessment, FHA Security designed a fully integrated security infrastructure combining:

  • 30+ CCTV cameras across two separate surveillance environments
  • PTZ perimeter cameras and monitored fire exit coverage

  • Remote management, audit trails, and scalable user permissions

Smart Intruder Alarm and Access Management

The first phase of the project focused on deploying an advanced smart intruder alarm system integrated with intelligent access management features.

The system included:

  • Smart keypad entry systems across multiple access points
  • Integrated image capture functionality
  • Multi-camera keypad solutions at primary entrances
  • Centralised user management
  • Time-based permissions and access restrictions
  • Full audit trail reporting
  • Remote monitoring and administration capabilities

This allows authorised personnel to securely manage building access, review activity history, and control user permissions remotely across departments and operational zones.

For a growing commercial headquarters, this level of visibility and accountability is essential — particularly where multiple teams, contractors, and visitors interact within the same environment.

Securing Sensitive Areas with Integrated Access Control

The second phase involved the deployment of a fully integrated Paxton Net2 Pro access control platform. The project combined existing infrastructure integration with new access-controlled hardware installed throughout the building.

Particular attention was given to protecting sensitive operational areas, including:

  • Server and IT infrastructure rooms
  • Senior management offices
  • Restricted operational spaces

Three smart video entry systems were also installed across primary entrances, allowing visitors to be reviewed and managed from reception points, internal offices, and designated management locations.

The platform was configured with flexible zoning and future expansion capability, ensuring the system can evolve alongside operational changes over time.

Importantly, FHA Security also provided localised management software and administrator training, enabling the client’s internal teams to independently manage day-to-day access permissions without relying on third-party support for routine operational changes.

Large-Scale CCTV Surveillance and Perimeter Protection

The final phase involved designing and deploying a comprehensive CCTV surveillance solution across both internal and external environments.

In total, the project incorporated several CCTV cameras across two independent CCTV systems, allowing the client to separate operational management between external perimeter monitoring and internal high-security environments.

External Surveillance System

The external system included:

  • Strategically positioned cameras
  • PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras covering car parks and approaches
  • Dedicated monitoring of fire exits
  • Full perimeter surveillance
  • Monitoring of pedestrian and vehicle movement routes

The system was specifically designed to support perimeter protection, access oversight, and future shared-space operational requirements.

Internal Surveillance System

A separate internal CCTV environment was implemented to monitor:

  • Reception and lobby spaces
  • Lift access points
  • Restricted office areas
  • Server rooms and sensitive infrastructure

By separating internal and external systems, the client gained greater operational flexibility, improved data segmentation, and more effective management of sensitive areas.

Managing a Complex Commercial Installation

Delivering security infrastructure within a live refurbishment programme required extensive coordination across multiple contractors and stakeholders.

Over several months, FHA Security worked closely with:

  • Main contractors
  • Site project managers
  • Building management teams

The phased implementation included:

  • First-fix infrastructure works delivered to programme deadlines
  • External installations carried out during winter evening periods due to operational constraints
  • Final commissioning completed on schedule and within budget

Despite evolving site requirements and the complexity of coordinating multiple workstreams, the project was delivered successfully and to the client’s satisfaction.

From the beginning, the client was looking for more than a one-off installation provider. All systems were delivered with a fixed-cost Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC), including:
